In our kids’ kitesurfing courses, we use equipment selected according to the child’s weight and height:

• Lightweight hybrid kites (Flysurfer Hybrid) – ultra-light, requiring low bar pressure, with a low-lift design and a wide depower range, making them more predictable and friendly for kids and beginners
• Shorter lines and appropriately sized kites – so that the power is easy to manage,
• Harnesses and wetsuits in children’s sizes: XXS, XS, S, small helmets, buoyancy vests, and protective gear,
• Boards matched to the child’s weight and height, making first launches easier.

This allows children to safely learn how to handle the kite, while we maintain full control over the power generated by it.

In our team, we have instructors who:

• have experience in teaching children and teenagers
• understand the specifics of working with younger kids (shorter attention spans, greater need for movement and play),
• are able to combine concrete, technical knowledge with a light, supportive atmosphere on the water."

This ensures that the child feels at ease, while the parent can be confident that kitesurfing lessons are conducted with safety, proper methodology, and experience.

Our kids’ courses are aimed at:

• children and teenagers who can swim and feel comfortable in the water,
• participants with a minimum weight of around 30 kg – a standard in the industry, recommended by training organizations (approximately 65 lbs) – allowing for proper equipment selection and ensuring safety,"
• children who are curious about water sports, enjoy being active, and are ready to learn through play.

We always take into account the child’s maturity, focus, and comfort – not every child needs to stand on the board right away. Sometimes the first step is simply working with a small kite and getting used to being on the water.

• Learning through play – movement games with the kite on the beach, simple tasks that engage the child,
• shorter sessions – instead of long blocks like for adults, we work in modules adapted to the child’s age and energy level (about 1–1.5 hours per session),
  
• clear safety rules explained in simple language,
  
• constant radio contact and close presence of the instructor,
  
• Individual approach – children learn at different paces, so we don’t compare them to adults or to each other.

The goal is for kitesurfing to be associated with joy, fun, and a sense of safety for the child, with progress coming naturally.

Depending on age, weight, conditions, and time spent on the water, a child may:

• learn to safely control a small kite on the beach and in the water,
• learn the basic safety rules and proper behavior at the spot,
• perform their first body drags (controlled glides behind the kite in the water),
• try their first board launches and short rides (for older/heavier children).

We always honestly inform parents about the child’s real progress – without promises like ‘after three days they’ll be an independent kitesurfer.’
